The Yager Sisters
“Knowing about HEC and its many positive efforts allows us to advocate for HEC and environmental causes with family and friends in other counties and states.”
Graduates of Purdue University, Marilyn and Carol Yager live in Rush County, Indiana. Marilyn enjoys Genealogy and knitting, Carol hikes and crafts, and both sisters love family gatherings and pollinator-friendly gardening. Carol is chair of the Rush County Board of Health, and both sisters are active in the Salt – Pipe Creek Watershed Steering Committee, Local Master Gardeners, and NRCS Women’s Learning Circle. Water quality, local service, and preserving natural lands are important to them, and they are generous supporters of the Hoosier Environmental Council’s work because they see the good that HEC is doing, and they want to protect the environment for our grandchildren. “Knowing about HEC and its many positive efforts,” they say, “allows us to advocate for HEC and environmental causes with family and friends in other counties and states.”
