Celebrating Earth Month in 2024
Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd, but at HEC we celebrate the entire month of April as Earth Month! In 1970, more than 22 million Americans stood together to call out corporations, protest their environmental ignorance, and demand improvements towards our Earth. After the 1970’s protests, new environmental protection laws were created, and Earth Day was born. It was created to not only bring public awareness to environmental problems we face but to celebrate the planet we live on. See below how HEC is celebrating Earth Month and Earth Day and ways that you can get involved.
Celebrate. Connect. Act.
This Earth Month, we have lots of events lined up. Join us at one of our Earth Month events and connect with fellow environmental advocates across Indiana. Check out the events we’ve lined up to find one near you.
We also have an excellent opportunity for you to support HEC with a gift this Earth Month! Thanks to the generosity of longtime supporters Alice and Bob Schloss, all individual donations this April will be matched up to $17,500! First time donor gifts are tripled!!! Please help us meet this match with a gift by April 30th.
Support our HEC Green Businesses AND HEC!
There are so many ways to support HEC this month, including through supporting our HEC Green Businesses! Several of our Green Businesses and other Indiana businesses are generously donating a portion of their profits to HEC this Earth Month. Interested in learning more?
