Juan Galeano is a Program Officer at The Clowes Fund. He is responsible for the Fund’s Indianapolis immigrant services and workforce development grants. He previously worked as a special initiative consultant for The Cleveland Foundation, leading their 2020 Census and initial COVID Vaccine Outreach efforts. Juan began his career as a faith-based community organizer in Central Florida. He primarily worked on reducing the over-arresting of children for first-time minor offenses and increasing access to primary healthcare services for the uninsured.
His family was part of the Colombian migration to Queens, NY, where he was born. Juan earned a BA from Temple University and an MPA from Baruch College Marxe School of Public and International Affairs. He is an alum of the National Urban Fellows program, Hispanics in Philanthropy Líderes Fellowship, Rockwood Leadership Institute Equity in Philanthropy Fellowship, and Indiana Philanthropy Alliance Mutz Leadership Institute.
