You’re invited! Our state is embarking on the exciting project of creating a statewide food vision for Indiana. The Indiana Food Vision will be a strategic road map for cultivating a nourishing and equitable food system where all communities in Indiana thrive — through a ‘by the people~for the people’ effort to center the voices of Hoosiers who eat, grow or buy food in Indiana.
The food system is a complex, multi-dimensional and dynamic system, involving the production, processing, transport, and consumption of food, and issues concerning the governance and economics of food production, its sustainability, the degree to which we waste food, accessibility, how food production affects the natural environment and the impact of food on individual and population health. Hoosier Environmental Council is excited to co-host this focus group with the Indiana State Department of Health.
