PUBLIC ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT COMMENT WORKSHOP
November 17th, the Hoosier National Forest Service finally opened the long-awaited comment period on the Draft Environmental Assessment (DEA) for the proposed Buffalo Springs Restoration project. The project includes up to 15,100 acres of aggressive burning and 5,124 acres of logging within OUR Hoosier National Forest. DEADLINE for comment is December 16.
To assist you in writing your comments we will be offering a workshop on Sunday, December 4, from 2:00pm-4:00pm. We will meet at the Greenfield Township community building in Youngs Creek right in the heart of the BS project area.
The Forest Service needs to hear from you so that you may have a say and so that you may be included in any further stages of their decision-making process.Please pass this open invitation along to everyone in your networks. I look forward to hearing from everyone!
