Drive Clean Indiana and Indiana Office of Energy Development are hosting a webinar, January 31, 2023 for interested parties applying for the OED’s Community Energy Security Planning Grant Program.
The Indiana Office of Energy Development (OED) is offering a competitive Community Energy Security Planning Grant. Local governments and communities throughout the state can take advantage of this opportunity to enhance energy reliability and resilience at a local level by developing or enhancing energy security planning efforts, with a focus on critical infrastructure. Funding for this grant comes from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and is administered by Indiana OED to assist communities in assessing and preparing for energy security through comprehensive planning.
Communities may receive up to $50,000 with a 10% match component.
Eligible applicants are county governments, towns, cities, regional planning organizations, or nonprofits working on behalf of communities
Project Requirements: Projects must complete and provide an energy security plan by the end of the grant period. The funding opportunity allows for efforts to develop, enhance, and implement local energy security planning to ensure more reliable and resilient energy infrastructure.
Deadline: Applications must be submitted to grants@oed.in.gov by March 1, 2023. All applications must be submitted electronically.
