Indiana Land Protection Alliance’s Annual Stewardship Gathering

You’re invited to Indiana Land Protection Alliance’s 2022 Annual Stewardship Gathering on Tuesday, June 14 through Thursday, June 16.

There will be guest speakers, opportunities for outdoor recreation, small group workshops, networking, and a service project at Betley Woods at Glacier’s End.

Registration fee: The event is free for individual ILPA members, ILPA member organization staff, board, associates, and partners. A $50 donation is suggested for individual non-members.

Lodging: There will be semi-primitive camping at Oliver’s Woods (free). Participants may also stay at a neighboring hotel in Indianapolis (at participant’s expense).

Food: Meals and snacks will be provided. Attendees are welcome to bring their own food or beverages.

Transportation: Attendees will use their own vehicles as transportation to different locations during the retreat

COVID-19: ILPA and CILTI will follow guidelines set forth by the CDC. Most activities will be conducted outdoors

Please note: Space for overnight participation is limited to 30 attendees and will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis.

Tuesday, June 14

2:00 p.m. – Arrival and Set-up at Oliver’s Woods Nature Preserve

3:00 p.m. – Paddle with Friends of the White River

5:30 p.m. – Break

6:00 p.m. – Welcome, Intro, and Housekeeping at Oliver’s Woods Nature Preserve with Cliff Chapman and Jamison Hutchins, CILTI, and Andrea Huntington, ILPA

7:30 p.m. – Dinner (Provided) and Fellowship

Wednesday, June 15

7:30 a.m. – Browsing Breakfast (Provided) @ Oliver’s Woods Nature Preserve 8:45 a.m. – Leave for Betley Woods at Glacier’s End

9:45 a.m. – Arrive at Betley Woods at Glacier’s End for Service Project

11:30 a.m. – Lunch Break (Provided)

1:00 noon – Presentation with Wyatt Williams, DNR

2:00 p.m. – Final Service Project Work at Betley Woods at Glacier’s End

4:00 p.m. – Leave for Oliver’s Woods Nature Preserve

4:45 p.m. – Arrive at Oliver’s Woods Nature Preserve for Short Break

5:30 p.m. – Hike at Oliver’s Woods Nature Preserve with Jamison

6:00 p.m. – Dinner (Provided)

7:30 p.m. – Happy Hour, Campfire Discussion, and Presentation with Tom Swinford, DNR

Thursday, June 16

6:30 a.m. – Early Morning Bird Hike at Oliver’s Woods Nature Preserve with Cliff

8:00 a.m. – Breakfast and Packing

9:30 a.m. – Presentation and Pre-Workshop with Nathanael Pilla, Orbis Environmental Consulting

12:00 p.m. – Lunch (Provided) and Return Home!
