On Thursday, Aug. 1st, at Pullman Park beneath the NIPSCO cooling tower on Michigan City’s west side, nearly 100 people rallied together to say NO to NIPSCO’s proposal to shift costs from BP, US Steel, ArcelorMittal, Praxair and NLMK onto the rest of us. In turn, we’ll be stuck paying a higher electric bill, while their industrial customers are given a nearly 19% reduction in their rates. After a successful action, it’s time to look forward and explore how we can effect lasting change on this issue and beyond.

On Saturday, Aug. 31st, from 3-5 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Michigan City, 121 W. 9th St., join us as we celebrate, welcome new folks and discuss what’s next up for the Collaboration and the newly-formed Renewable Power Rangers youth group.

Please bring a dish to pass if you’re able! This is event is completely free, family friendly and open to the public.
