Mark M. Holeman, Inc. co-owner and landscape architect, David Gorden, lives, breathes and cycles native landscapes. This year he is once again riding in the Tour des Trees, an annual long-distance cycling adventure raising awareness and funds for the Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund). Mark M. Holeman, Inc. will be generously matching all donations made in David’s name.

The Tour des Trees serves to advance TREE Fund’s mission of supporting scientific discovery and dissemination of new knowledge in arboriculture and urban forestry. TREE Fund research has produced better ways to plant and care for urban trees, making them more resilient, more resistant to pests, and less prone to failure. The Tour also supports education programs aimed at connecting young people with the environment and career opportunities in green industries.

This year’s tour, in mid-September, will feature five days of riding, beginning and ending in Nashville, Tennessee. Daily mileage ranges from 55 to 110 miles. Good luck, be safe and have fun, David!
