Earth Day Indiana
April 23 2011 11:00am - 4:00pm
2010 brought the 20th anniversary of the Earth Day Indiana Festival, which featured more than 130 environmental and conservation exhibits, great music, good food and special activities for kids... in five action-packed hours. Overcast skies, and rain overnight and early in the morning didn't dampen spirits or the assembly of a near-record crowd.
White River State Park is an exciting outdoor venue. The scenic park is surrounded by museums, the White River and the Indianapolis Zoo.
Exhibits: There's always something new on Earth Day and you can spend hours talking to exhibitors, sharing ideas and seeing new things. Meet new friends; get involved.
Music: In an Earth Day Indiana first, the show featured all original music written and performed by some of Indiana’s best musicians.
Cool environmental stuff: One hundred kids built birdfeeders to take home, thanks to Indiana Wildlife Federation volunteers. And that's not all the cool stuff.
